Christian radio station Radio Maria has started DAB broadcasts in the UK. An English language version is now available in London and Cambridge.
In London, the service is available on the London 2 multiplex, and is using stereo DAB+ with a bit rate of 32kbps. As this station is using DAB+, some older DAB radios may not be able to receive the service.
In Cambridge, the service is available on the main local DAB multiplex, not the small scale trial multiplex. The Cambridge version is using the original format of DAB, in mono, with a bit rate of 64 kbps. This means that most if not all DAB radios will be able to receive the service.
This service may appear in other parts of the UK with vacant DAB capacity.
