Ofcom has awarded a further 8 new community radio licenses. The new stations are:
2TR (Two Towns Radio) – To broadcast in Reading, and will be aimed at listeners under 40.
Buchan Radio – To broadcast to Peterhead, Scotland, and surrounding areas.
East Leeds FM – An arts based service aimed at disadvantaged communities in East Leeds.
Groove City Radio – Dance, Electronic, House, and Soul music station, to broadcast to Glasgow.
Leeds Dance Community Radio – Dance music station to broadcast in Leeds.
Revival FM – Christian station for Glasgow.
The Flash – To broadcast a variety of local music, and blues, folk, and rock music to Waterlooville.
Vanny Radio – to broadcast to Coventry, and aimed at under 25s.
A further 8 stations were rejected, due to transmission issues.
