These multiplexes allow small commercial and community stations the opportunity to broadcast on DAB at an affordable cost.<\/p>\n<p>The current small-scale multiplexes are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aldershot<\/li>\n<li>Birmingham<\/li>\n<li>Brighton<\/li>\n<li>Bristol<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.scottsradiosite.co.uk\/transmitters\/dab-ensembles\/cambridge-trial\/\">Cambridge<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Glasgow<\/li>\n<li>Central London<\/li>\n<li>Manchester<\/li>\n<li>Norwich<\/li>\n<li>Portsmouth<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The license extension is to allow Ofcom time to consider the most appropriate method for licensing permanent small-scale DAB multiplexes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>All current small-scale DAB multiplexes in the UK have had their licenses extended until\u00a0March 31st, 2020.
