Review

Updated: 01/02/2018 – Review below does not reflect the recent new schedule.

Station is improving all the time. New weekday evening and late night shows are great (although I still don’t actually know the name of the person doing 9pm to midnight), and the station is playing a wider variety music, yet still being a focused hits based station.

Craig, Darren, and Wes are still fantastic presenters, and they understand the local area well.

Local news and the Events Guide have now returned to the website, and the station retains it’s local feel (much better than Metro or TFM). Nearly all adverts are from local businesses. News now entirely done by the external provider Radio Newshub, and although the local segment is a little too short for my liking, the news bulletins are concise and easy to follow.

102.8FM is now operational again, although now from a different location 10 miles east, so I can no longer receive Rathergood on FM, but I continue to listen on-line. Thanks also to Jamie Branson the station owner for keeping me updated on the progress of the 102.8 transmitter.

Overall: 9 out of 10.
