Changes to Travel Bulletins on BBC Local Radio

Apologies due to the delay of this post, personal commitments have gotten in the way of updates.

Changes are to be made to travel bulletins across the BBC’s network of local radio stations.

At present, most of the bulletins are currently produced and voiced external by Inrix. The changes will mean that instead of Inrix voicing the bulletins, the presenter of the show will voice the bulletin, still using data provided by Inrix.

This is to allow for greater flexibility to when bulletins will feature, allowing stations to better respond to events happening on road, rail, and in the air.

It is unclear how many job losses there will be at Inrix, or when the changes will be made.
