Dubai Now Launches on DAB, Central Scotland Changes

Mirroring the coverage area of Radio Maria English, who recently commenced UK broadcasts, Arabic station Dubai Now has launched on DAB.

Dubai Now is broadcasting on the London 3 and Cambridge (main) DAB multiplexes. In both instances, the station is broadcasting in mono DAB at 64 kbps.

Meanwhile, on the Central Scotland DAB multiplex, Central FM has increased its bit rate from 80 kbps mono to 128 kbps stereo, meaning a significant improvement in sound quality. Pure Radio has also joined ahead of its launch, and is occupying the remaining 64 kbps in mono, meaning this multiplex is now full.
