RadioToday Removed from Links Page

It is with regret that I have made the editorial decision to remove the link to the RadioToday UK website from the Useful Links page of Scott’s Radio Site. A number of factors have meant that RadioToday UK and Scott’s Radio Site are no longer compatible with each other.

A few of you may remember the dispute that arose in April of the year, in which RadioToday blocked the twitter accounts of Scott’s Radio Site and the author from accessing the RadioToday UK twitter feed. As yet RadioToday have failed to respond to my requests for an explanation. I opted to avoid a tit for tat retaliation, but did opt to make details of the dispute public.

Since then, I have started to notice an increasing amount of inaccuracies in a number of articles. Other websites, including a516digital, Wohnort DAB, and this very website have also been significantly quicker in posting news articles than RadioToday UK.

I have also noted that RadioToday UK has a slight bias in favour of the BBC and larger radio groups. This is not a problem as such, but RadioToday continue to appear impartial, and not make any bias clear to the reader.

Whilst I don’t take responsibility for the content on external websites, I due like to ensure that they are accurate and meet reasonable standards. I no longer feel that RadioToday UK can meet these criteria.
