Inverurie based North East Community Radio (NECR) is to close at midnight tonight (15/08/18). The station has announced that they are no longer able to operate, due to local advertising moving on-line.
NECR broadcasts across North East Scotland on various FM frequencies, and is also available on the Aberdeen local DAB multiplex. The station commenced broadcasting in 1994.
It has not yet been revealed what will happen to licence, or transmitters.
