News Round-Up (01/06/2018)

Recent stories from the radio world:

Two new community radio licenses have been awarded. Radio Mac will broadcast to Bradford, and will be aimed at Muslim and other ethnic minority groups. Rush FM is aimed at younger audiences, and will broadcast to the Farnborough area of Hampshire.

Greg James and Nick Grimshaw are to swap roles on BBC Radio 1. Greg takes over presenting the Breakfast show, with Nick moving to Drivetime.

There have also been some service changes on trial small scale multiplexes. Colourful Radio and Non Stop 90s have left the Trial Manchester multiplex. On the Trail Birmingham multiplex, The Beat has joined, Timeless Radio has ceased, and Like Radio has switched to DAB+ (and is no longer available on all DAB radios).
