Nation and Dragon Switch to DAB+

On the local multiplex North East Wales and West Cheshire, Nation Radio and Dragon Radio have switched to using DAB+ (48kbps). Both stations, owned by Nation Broadcasting, are now available in stereo in this area for the first time.

However, as a result of the change, owners of older DAB radios will no longer receive the station. To establish if your radio is DAB+ compatible, look for a DAB+ or Digital Radio Tick Mark logo on the packaging or the radio itself.

Or, if you live in North East Wales or West Cheshire, if it receives Dee on DAB or Upload Radio, but not Nation or Dragon, it’s not DAB+ compatible. If the radio still receives Nation and Dragon, then it is DAB+ compatible.

Nation Radio and Dragon Radio are still available in the original DAB format across the rest of Wales.
